Indefinite Hiatus

I just wanted to say - I’ve loved my time on Tumblr. I really, really have. It’s been a spectacular outlet to see some incredible art, obsess about my favorite going-on’s on television at the moment, and surprisingly a spectacular news channel for current events and a place where I’ve formed some great friendships.

Currently, I’m just to busy to dedicate any time to it considering that I’ve taken on a new part-time job and an internship at a magazine, along with dealing with finals this week and keeping up with editors regarding my independent writing.

I will leave this blog here and my ask-box open, considering that I may come back if I ever have the time. Now, I’ll get sentimental and a bit mushy. I just wanted to thank everyone who’s ever listened to my rants, liked a single post, or wished me well - I’m just insanely grateful. And I love everyone who I’ve made great friendships with. Thank heavens for the net or I never would have known some really spectacular people.

Goodbye for now - Megan

O.M.G

A friend of mine recommended since I had such a terrible craving for pancakes or french toast that I make a “healthy protein pancake” while training and it would taste just the same. I pretty much laughed in her face. But, this morning I ended up taking a pack of whey protein powder, almond meal, one egg, rice milk, and a mashed banana and threw it on the skillet with veggie oil and viola! IT TASTE’S AMAZING. AND IS TOTALLY HEALTHY. (Without the added sweetner of course. But needless to say I’m in heaven.)

FUCKING MICHAEL AND NIKITA

I’M THROWING UP RAINBOWS DRENCHED WITH PAIN.

Once Upon A Time Feels

I thought Stable Boy was one of the weaker episodes. I don’t know. Just everything from the music cues to the script… it was just poor. Even worse was that Lana Parrilla was great and the young Snow was well cast, but everything else just didn’t do it for me. And I fucking love Noah Bean and was so happy he would be in this episode as David plus they had BARBARA FREAKING HERSHEY. But whatevs. It was a letdown for me. And not the quality I’ve expected from this show within the past weeks. But, hey, the promo looks fantastic for the next episode!

Is it just me…

Or is it not blatantly obvious that Kristen Stewart is a lesbian?

I Ship Emma/Jefferson

Woody Harrelson as Haymitch feels

I feel like I only go on and on about how wonderful Jennifer and Josh were in the film, and I don’t even focus enough on praising the supporting cast. But, I suddenly had a random slew of Haymitch feels and I had to write them down because WOODY HARRELSON FUCKING KILLED IT. I mean, seriously people. Seriously.

The way he was like a surrogate father to her in the film, and the platonic chemistry with Jennifer was perfect. And how he is literally shaking when Katniss is being taken off to the arena but he is trying to keep calm and cool and give her appropriate advice to stay THE FUCK ALIVE. And just  the look on his face when Katniss is caught up in the tree when Cato and everyone else is waiting to slaughter her and Haymitch is just sitting there watching all helpless BECAUSE THAT’S HIS BABY AND BASICALLY HIS SURROGATE DAUGHTER LAWD.

And his desperation in trying to plead with Seneca to keep her alive and saying that he will basically be killing a martyr and Haymitch is so determined because he’s finally found that one tribute that he knows he doesn’t have to watch die and who has the fire to spark a rebellion and show up the Capitol like Haymitch tried to do in his youth. AND HE’S JUST SO PROUD OF HER AND TRYING TO PROTECT HER.

This is a post of random flailing and feels brought to you by a rather obsessed fan. Have a good day.

Just my two cents

I have no idea why people see The Hunger Games as having a love triangle. There is no real love triangle in it at all. It’s just Peeta/Katniss and Gale. I could write a big post explaining my thoughts, but I don’t feel like it now. I’ll probably do it later.

A Personal Apology To Josh Hutcherson.

Josh Hutcherson,

I will admit the day that you were cast as Peeta I groaned, complained, cried, and even threw things. I know it does not condone my behavior, but I should state that I loved the series of novels and felt extremely protective of the source material. I just didn’t know what you were capable of as an actor. I mean, can you blame me? I know we all need to put food on the table, but when the previous credits on your resume consist of films such as Firehouse Dog… can you really fault me for being a bit trepidatious?

I ended up going to the midnight screening of The Hunger Games last night, thanks to a friend of mine getting us advance tickets. Within twenty minutes you sold me that you had that character down, and then throughout the rest of the film you just continued to completely astonish me. Why? It seemed like Suzanne Collins and Gary Ross literally plucked you out of the books and placed you on the screen. You were perfection, and I mean that. Whether it was nailing Peeta’s charm, his struggle with keeping his moral dignity intact, his unconditional love for Katniss, or simply including the simplest of things (BRAID TOUCH IN THE BERRIES SCENE THANK YOU) from the book.

I can’t find one thing at fault in your performance. I’m sorry I ever doubted you. And thanks for doing such a fantastic job.

Sincerely,

A Fan.

Just came back from The Hunger Games

The film was phenomenal. The cinematography, the performances, and the score. That doesn’t mean it didn’t have it’s issues as well. Alright - It’s impossible for me to write this review without being biased by my already having read the book and loving the book. So, I hope it’s a fair review.
